Due to the COVID-19, a live online Seminar "The Future of the European Union/European Integration in the Aftermath of Brexit and Amid the Coronavirus Pandemic" was held on 1 April, 2020 at Guangdong University of Foreign Studies.

The following topics were discussed at our seminar.
1. Ursula von der Leyen（乌尔苏拉·冯·德莱恩）, the new president of the European Commission, and her report "A Union that strives for more: My agenda for Europe", or it is also called 'Political guidelines for the next European Commission 2019-2024".

2. The COVID-19 pandemic: A Touchstone of the EU’s Solidarity

案例：肆虐全球的新冠疫情能否成为检验欧盟团结的试剑石。让我们引用塞尔维亚总统武契奇所说的一句话：“伟大的欧洲团结是不存在的，写在纸上的不过是童话罢了。”当下欧洲最紧缺的“药品”，不仅仅是中国的口罩和试剂盒，而是拧成一股绳的决心和斗志。
究竟历史会将欧洲导向何方，将欧盟导向何方？我们也许会在未来一段时间各国对疫情的处理中看出端倪。

3. Mask Culture between East ans West: 口罩文化的东西差异
据瑞士《观察报》网站此前报道，就在当地时间3月3日，瑞士人民党一名女议员因为戴着口罩出席当天的瑞士联邦议会会议而被驱逐出了议会大厅。
报道称，议长认为这名女议员戴口罩破坏了会议大厅的秩序，因而把她驱逐出去。议会服务部门人员解释说，根据议会的规定，人们觉得生病时才能戴口罩。如果没有疾病的症状，则要求不在大厦内戴口罩，以免发出错误信号。
